Timm Holmes lives in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. He has been writing fiction since age eight. His first “book” was written with blue highlighter during Bring Your Kid to Work Day. He tried his hand at non-fiction while writing for a local newspaper The Orleans Star. His work was met with some praise from his editor but his heart still belonged to the fictional characters and worlds tucked away in the shadows of his mind.

Now a father of two young boys, Timm Holmes has been inspired by the stories he improvises at bedtime for his sons. The stories main characters are the boys themselves. The fantastical and adventurous tales are collectively known as The Mostly Made-Up Adventures of Malcolm & Cooper.

He is the creator and facilitator of the START-A-STORY Young Writers Workshop. The program has Timm acting as a guide for groups of children aged four to eight who will collectively create a story of their own design. Timm will begin booking sessions mid-2017, and he hopes to excite the heart, inspire the mind, and celebrate the creativity!

Timm Holmes is also working on a young adult fiction series titled Addison Dark a fantasy story about a young boy that discovers an ability that takes him places much further from home than he ever thought possible, to a family he never knew he had, yet places him directly in the path of a great threat not seen for over 2000 years.
